Taste Test
“Jack is being an idiot.”
The Doctor just raises one eyebrow. Hardly a surprise, is it? The so-called Captain’s demonstrated several times since they met that idiocy is clearly a qualification for advancement in the Time Agency these days.
He glances at Jack. The Captain looks away. Not defending himself - because he expects the Doctor to side with Rose?
“Explain,” he instructs Rose.
“The tribal leader gave us these.” Ah. “He won’t let me drink mine until he tries his.”
The Doctor sniffs. Crumberry - will kill a human in minutes.
He squeezes Jack’s shoulder: grateful, relieved. “Yeah, y’are an idiot.”
