I loved this. So very much. Believable and really, really good to get emotionally invested into. Thank you for sharing it with us. *smiles*
And now please have this housewarming party so Innocent and Laura can bring them some actual kittens. (Okay, "just" the housewarming party would be okay, too.) And then the sequel you need to write to show us how they move on... *dreamy smile* Really looking forward to that.
Thank you for your lovely comments! It's my first properly long fic in the fandom, so it's great to know it went over well.
Sorry, though: no sequel. While I appreciate the sentiment behind the request (that readers enjoyed the fic and want more), I don't really see what would go into a sequel. We've had resolution to the will-they-won't-they and James's relationship insecurity, and also to the question of their career direction, and they're moving in together. I don't do well with writing pure fluff, such as a housewarming party, so that's not an option either. However, feel free to imagine where they go from here!
Oh, a flat will definitely work - did you see the image I posted of the kind of place I had in mind? The ground floor of a Victorian detached house like that would be perfect :)

That was a rollercoaster ride and I love rollercoasters. Going to head over to AO3 and re-read it in it's entirety this evening.
Two well-deserved promotions and Julie and Gurdip!! Happy days.
P.S. Loved Innocent giving Robbie kittens - I could just see his face! :D

I'd love to see the two of them promoted like that :) Glad you liked Robbie and the kittens too!

Now flat definitely out of the question, nice little house for them both to call home, with a garden for Robbie's kittens to roam in.
Really enjoyed.
