There's nothing ordinary about a Jones.
Harriet Jones made the decisions the Doctor couldn't. She outwitted the Daleks, faced them down without fear and died knowing she was saving the world.
Martha Jones walked the Earth, spreading hope, belief in a day when the world would be free. She always knew she was never second-best.
Ianto Jones loved an immortal man, kept him grounded and saved him from a concrete grave. In death, he was essential to saving the Earth's children.
No, not remotely ordinary, the Joneses. Extraordinary, in fact.
Mickey Smith’s just very proud to be married to one.

Resilience
Exiting the TARDIS, Rose stares at the spectacular view in front of her. Brilliant blue sky, and a snow-topped mountain reflected perfectly in the clear water at her feet. “It’s beautiful.”
“Mount Fuji,” the Doctor says, at her shoulder. “Highest mountain in Japan. Over twelve thousand feet high. Active stratovolcano. Safe, though. Won’t erupt again for a thousand years.”
“When are we?” Jack asks.
“Thirty-first century.” The Doctor gestures around. “This small country’s survived earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, even atom bombs in 1945. Rebuilt every time. Fantastic, they are.”
“No bombs today, though,” Rose says, gazing at the mountain. “Just... perfect.”
