Music in unexpected places

It's wonderful, isn't it? I wish I lived close enough to Niagara to consider it an evening out - I'd go to their performance in a heartbeat.

At the same time as they did that spontaneous chorus there, they were also doing it at Kentucky Oaks Mall. People ignored it once they got over the surprise, and just continued shopping. So far as I've heard, not a single place reported the one here. Just the Ontario one.

Thanks for sharing! I got goosebumps as they sang - I'm so impressed, especially as they were all scattered around, with no conductor (at least as far as I could tell...). I would love to be able to sing like that!

And I love those flash mobs, or whatever they're called - all those fun, harmless but entertaining large group "pranks" (although I don't think this one is a prank so much as a show?) - it would be so fun to actually see one live, but until then YouTube is a beautiful invention!

Nothing like the Hallelujah Chorus to get people stirred up.

And having worked for years in arts education and outreach I love how forward thinking and current the chorus was willing to be.
