Oh, Oh, ouch! Poor Rose. To have given up and then find versions of her first Doctor and Jack who don't recognize her and seem a bit darker than her own versions (at least Jack does). I understand Jack not wanting to share, but he's acting a bit of a selfish brat here.

The jealousy and insecurity, however, makes me think there might be some very severe h/c in this particular relationship's history. I'd like to see the story of how these two versions met. Will we get a hint of that, Wendy?

Interesting that you suspect there's more going on :) Is it jealousy at all, though?

Let's just say that Jack's backstory is going to be an important part of this story, even if you won't see it happen 'live'.

Oh, interesting. I can't wait to see the tension between Jack and Rose mount - not that sort of tension, but just the fact that I don't think you're setting them up to be like-at-first-sight, much less love.

And I liked that the Doctor was able to change the language on the TARDIS viewscreen to something Jack could read, just by the touch of his hand. This TARDIS must like this Jack - which must mean he's essentially likeable. He might be dark, but I don't think he's quite so dark that he won't be unreachable.

Only four parts, hmm? We'll see!

Oh, you think? ;) I suspect you may get your wish with tension mounting, certainly.

And, yes, the Doctor does like this Jack. He has some pretty good reasons to like him, too, as you'll see. Not so dark that he might be unreachable? I hope not!

And, no, not only four parts... currently I'm looking at five chapters.
