The Support Stacie Fic Auction closes at midnight Central time tonight, and I have to say that Doctor Who fans have been amazing. Bids on several authors are at or close to $100 - unfolded73 , ponygirl72 , aibhinn , dameruth and one or two others. Bids on dave7 are currently at $150! The current bid on me is $110. I'm bowled over by the generosity of fans like wiggiemomsi and mynxii , to name just a few of the very energetic bidders (I'm bidding on a couple of authors myself, but keeping any future plans close to my chest for the time being!) There's still a chance to catch a couple of writers for a relatively low price - aibhinn 's Torchwood fic, for example, or chisel , who's currently priced at $60, or rachelbeann - bid currently at $30 - or the_tenzo , who is offering smut and can also be had for the bargain price of a bid over $35. momdaegmorgan can be had for a bid of over $40. Study_of_Running's going for $20 at the moment, and isolus_gurl 's offering a 20,000-word fic with the current bid at a bargain price of $20.
Many authors are also throwing in bonus offers: drabbles in return for bids, for example, or donations to match bid increases.
And here's my own last-day offer: If the price reaches $125 before bidding closes, I will write fics for the top three bidders. The winner will still get a 5000-word fic by the writing deadline. The second-placed bidder will get a 2000-word fic as soon as possible after the deadline. And the third-placed bidder will get a 1000-word fic as soon as possible after that. I'd like it if the second- and third-placed bidders would make a donation since you'll get fics anyway, though obviously I can't enforce that.
And a second offer: if two or more people combine to make the winning bid, as long as the winning bid is over $150 I'll write you each a 5000-word fic to your specifications, though I may need to negotiate a little on the deadline for the additional fics.
