Beginning this weekend, BitTorrent might be my new best friend. I'm not so quick to catch on to stuff like this, so when I finally come around, I feel like it's kind of a big deal. It has cut down considerably my desire to do things like go outside, sleep, talk to real people in the physical world, etc.
As far as real life goes, I have finally caught on to working full-time. It has helped me be a little more focused with my time in general, which I definitely did not do before I spent most of my days in a business park in Irvine. I'm even managing to still go to yoga about 4 times a week, which although it makes me more busy, makes me feel more relaxed as I negotiate all this busy-ness.
Another good reason not to go out too much these days, and I'm just going to come out and say it: I quit smoking. Yes I did. No more dancing around it; this is it. I had one beer during the week and it was just about as torturous as could be, so maybe a few more weeks sans alcohol should cement my new, healthy, officially once-and-for-all nicotine free mode of being. I have smoked cigarettes more or less steadily since I was thirteen years old, and before that, I was probably already semi-addicted to cigarettes because of my parents' second-hand smoke. For the last several years I've been more of a social smoker, but I'm finally ready to let it all go.
It's going to be another extra-busy week. I will update if I get any Peace Corps news.
