In a nearby tree...
On a happier note than my last post. In a nearby tree there is a Redheaded Woodpecker nest. I took these pics from my kitchen window while I was playing with my zoom. Wished I had grabbed my tripod but oh well, I had fun taking the pics and watching the woodpecker chick. Right now the nest is empty. Chicks grow up fast!

The adult birds have been working on the nest since the chicks have left. I wonder if they will raise another family. I'll listen for the chicks. They're pretty noisy.
