So this past week has really flown by. I got to spend time with some good friends, I got to see my family, I got to skip class, and I got to see Dierks Bentley! It wasn't all good - my phone snapped in half so I'll be without one until Thanksgiving, and I had to skip the Jeremy Camp concert so that I could be a safe driver on Thursday and Friday. But the good far outweighed the bad.
Going to the Dierks Bentley concert was great
Molly and I left San Angelo about 11:45 on Thursday morning. It was a good drive. 5 and a half hours isn't so bad when you have someone with you on the drive. We got to my house and had to leave rather quickly so we could get to the concert on time. The guys who were letting us backstage told us to be there at 5:30. We made it there on time but just barely; we were the last people they let in. We did get backstage, but not in the backstage area Dierks Bentley was. We couldn't get in back there. But that's ok because we still got in for free! They had a big area in front of the stage for standing only, and since we were there so early we got to stand really close to the stage. I was probably 3rd row from the stage and had an awesome view of Dierks. It was incredibly crowded, but the show was really good anyways. I had a great time, and I think Molly did too (even if meeting Dierks didn't happen). By the time we got to my house, got food in our bellies, and got everything in order it was midnight. Molly and I talked for a little while, so I'd say it was probably 12:30ish when we got to sleep. We woke up at 4:45 the next morning so we could get back to San Angelo in time for Molly to take her test at 11:00. We were successful in getting back on time (although, I did have to speed). A good time was had by all.
I've had this incredible cough for about a month and a half and it's really starting to wear on me. I got some medicine when I went home, but if I continue to have this cough then I'll be going to the doctor. It's getting kind of bad, it seems. Now when I cough, I have a stabbing pain in my left side. It hurts pretty bad. I took my medicine after noon lunch yesterday and laid down to take a nap. The bottle says it will make you drowsy. Boy did it; I slept for 18 hours straight! I felt quite awake when I got up this morning. And I had strange dreams last night. My cough has lessened, but my side still hurts. Hopefully, I'll get better soon!
That's pretty much it. I'm going to go study for my history test now. By the way, Thursday is the big 2-0 for me! I'm pretty excited! I want to go dancing, but I'm not sure that will work out. We'll have to see. Have a great week everyone
By the way: here are the pictures from the event! Enjoy!
