Sandy and I went to San Antonio over the weekend, and he took me to my favorite place...Sea World! I LOVE SEA WORLD! So much so that in college I had season passes
. This trip to Sea World was particularly memorable because I caught a dolphin!!
At "Dolphin Cove" they let you feed and pet the dolphins. Usually you get a few pats here and there on the dolphin's head/melon as they take the fish from you, but this on particular dolphin let me rub his head while he floated in front of me. He dipped into the water, and BEACHED HIMSELF IN FRONT OF ME!! There's a 'safety ledge' between the wall of the pool and the dolphin pool, and the dolphin jumped OUT OF THE WATER and laid there for me to give him a rubdown!! It was the most amazing thing. *sigh* I love Sea World!! The Sea World people had taken some candid pictures of me with the dolphin, but they were $9.95 per 4x6 photo
, so the memory will live on in my head and not in my scrapbook.
After Sea World, Sandy and I took the drive-through tour of good ol' Trinity University. So much has changed!! New buildings, new construction--they've closed some of the 'driving paths' so that you actually have to WALK around on campus
! We drove down Broadway and saw all the places we used to eat at, and had dinner at Koi Kawa
. Saw our old house, drove down to Sandy's old apartment (ahhh...many a drunken weekends), had Amy's ice cream in the Quarry, saw the new stuff down there...I actually miss Trinity
. And Cheesy Jane's. Those burgers are the best!
On the flip side, one final tomorrow and summer school is over! wheeeee!
