so i get up this morning and go to newark hospital to have a MRI on my right knee. it was at the same place with the same MRI girl and unfortunately it was the same results :(.
yes, that's right, my ACL repair decided not to hold therefore the ligament and the metal pieces used to reattach it to the bone fell to below my knee, thus why i have a bump on my upper shin. so, what this means is i need to go see the orthopedic surgeon as soon as i can (hopefully over december break or sooner). i definitely have to have some form of surgery to remove the metal pieces that are moving around in my leg, otherwise they could move around and cut other ligaments/muscles or wreck the bone, which would be just a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit painful.
idk if i'm going to have the repair surgery again and do all the therapy and rehab again, but it'd be awesome to be able to play volleyball or frisbee or snow football again someday. so we'll see. i just want to know what i have to do and when it can get done. yeah, i know there are much worse things in the world, but this just plain sucks. there's no way around it. so for now i'm was instructed to not do anything athletic or basically anything other than walking.
i don't know what else to say. it hardcore sucks, but i am still breathing and i have the greatest friends and family so there's still much to be thankful for.
