For those of you who were left to wonder as I ended my last entry, PC or Mac, I have indeed made a decision! As I type this message, I have officially become Mac-ified.
I currently also hail from Hong Kong, China, in a misty, and steamy, and humid tropical region with torrential downpours daily. Regardless of weather, the food is great. And, my time in Hong Kong for the last few days has been filled with meal after meal of different cuisines.
As a recap for this past month, I have completed my first graduate class, bought a Mac and want an iPhone, gave out my email address to my Chinese third graders (which I sort of regret), went to Alice's Tea Cup and Tea & Sympathy on back-to-back days, and have traveled half way around the world.
With regards to the email address incident. My class had a little circle time to say 'goodbye' to me, and I was wreaking with emotions and I ended up giving in and gave out my gmail email address. As of now, I sort of regret it as I constantly get emails from Bratz and neopets, the choice websites for third graders! Besides the emails from neopets or Bratz, I have gotten two genuine emails from students, but I mean, what do you write to third graders where you have a professional student - teacher relationship?!?
Will update soon with more details of my travels and life's ups and downs. To leave you off, here's a photo of Singapore, of which I took during my transit time in between my flights.
Taken along the Singapore River, looking out at the
multi-coloured buildings and a bumboat on the river.
