The smallest moment that one could ever think of gave me the giggles the other day as I walked down the street.
I saw an 80 year old (roughly) woman sitting on a bench in the Lower East Side with her walker, listening to an iPod with her white earbuds! If only I had my camera! It was a Kodak moment. (The picture to the left was stolen, but it was something like that... and it made me giggle!)
Over the last few months, I think that my life has been quite mundane. There are just so many things going on with my life that I cannot seem to stand still for a single moment.
- I've realised that I have turned into somewhat of a morning person, and cannot bum around anymore past the hour of 11pm.
- My ninth-grade students like me! (or at least they do in front of my face, don't know what the hell they say about me behind my back)
- I am quite conflicted as to whether or not I want to begin teaching middle schoolers or high schoolers. Do I want to deal with inflated egos of a 12 year old?
- I am getting more and more nervous about the thought of having my own classroom and whether or not I will be able to handle it myself.
- My future has still to be figured out, specifically the next six months is still a fuzzy blur of uncertainty.
- I really enjoy seaweed salads.
- Writing 20+ page papers are frustrating...
- I have realised that I am extremely awkward at job fairs, even more awkward than I am normally in a social situation.
- I desperately want to find myself a job so that I can feel like a grown-up.
