Question for all the multimedia gurus out there...
Is it possible to do a video capture of a segment of a TiVO-recorded show?
I need to capture an approx. 1-minute piece of a 52-minute TiVO recording, and have no clue how to do it. Do I need to convert the TiVO recording (on a DVD) into a different format (.avi, perhaps?) to be able to edit it?
I have an iMac G5 as well as a PC available but have no clue what software I need.
I tried SnagIt, a very basic capture program, and although it has a video capture function, all I got from a capture was black screen, not the image.
At the very least I need to be able to take 2 or 3 screen shots of specific frames of the show... and I need to do this TODAY.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
