an update
thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. they scoped my dad down the throat yesterday...and found a spot that was bleeding. got that patched up and his counts are up a bit and he seems to be stable. hopefully that takes care of the bleeding and we can move on to the next issue. his heart is holding its own so that's good and he is still responding very well to the iv lasik, his legs were down at least 3 sizes yesterday. the liver shows signs of some cirrhosis, but i guess other things that are usually present aren't so the doc is a bit puzzled. but with all the meds he takes the poor liver is beyond overload, in my own opinion. same with his kidneys. he might need to be on dialysis for a bit, maybe to give them a break/rest. he's still a very sick man and by no means is he out of the woods but i think he's at least taken a step to head out of them. thanks again for everything. i'll post more when we know some more.
