Joshua is fine. It's not a cold or Strep (which I did think it might be and that was scary because mom's immune system is still chemo saturated) or anything at all like that.
It's his sinuses and his allergies.
Ok. I had NO IDEA sinus and allergy issues could take your voice, could take away the ability to swallow.
I don't HAVE these things. Never have. I don't recognize the signs and I don't read the symptons right EVER.
Seems that the sinus drip is SO BAD that his throat is totally under attack and is sore from THAT.
We stayed out of school since the dr appt took all morning anyway and we only went into the office for 2 hours so I could do the emergency stuff.
Then we did what you do when you need to feel better ... we bought COMICS! YAY! He has yet another comic to follow monthly now. I love comic books. I love that my son loves comic books. - FREE COMIC BOOK DAY IS MAY 7th!

Anyway...those of you with sinus/seasonal allergy issues - any pointers? Humidifier at night? What drugs REALLY work? How do you tell the difference between a sinus and a stress headache? Please...anything that will allow me to know at the ONSET of this crap and not when it gets this bad would be good. Thanks!
