Hullo, darlings. I'm back.

Gloriously filthy ... weather we're having, isn't it.

Am home. (Not necessarily 'and dry'.) Had forgotten to account for the dear lad's having to report himself on the Monday to a job. One forgets how often a man who actually does things is not his own master, however masterly his talents and accomplishments and masterful his ways when (wait for it) given his head.... (Fortunately, I always sleep on my side, or nearly prone, rather than supine. And how Victorian one feels, standing at a desk to write....)

In any event: whilst I was away, the good MSP, valiantly coping as ever, put up our Bapton Books Position Paper, 'Free speech & its enemies', here (and as seen on various blogs and what-not). I do think it important, and I should think fandom in particular want to read its denunciation of the censor and its defence of free speech.

I shall say more about Other (and Less Cosmically Significant) Things once the pink-and-white porcelain reverts to that state in place of looking quite like an OE tie.

writing, press freedom, boring self-indulgence, bapton books, excellent bloody news, publishing, droolworthy, mr wemyss is much relieved and gratified, current events, gloating, history, critical analysis
