Ok, so my last post was a little ranty, and self-centered, but hey this IS my lj right? So moving on I think I'll give a rundown of what I remember from InFest 2007....
Right I've written that and it's quite long so I'm going to hide it behind a cut and then do a stripped down version with some key points and a best bits kind of thing.

Friday
After Waking up with a hangover after my party on the thursday night; which was fun and thanks to everyone who made it; we began to finish preparations for the weekend. Ate hotdogs for breakfast packed and were on the road around 3. We got to Armley with only a minor incident involving the engine light on the car while crossing the Ouse and some minor pervage at Harleys Being ridden in formation. We caught up with Mr and Mrs P and got ready to go, we arrived earlyish and caught most of The Gothsicles set. Thoroughly enjoyed their sheer foolishness and tracks that really stood out were One Second Ghost, English License and Hey, I've got that Font, oh and DuckTales. After that the evening descended into a drunken blur, although it did include making up with Bez, having not seen him in about 6 months. Oh, and the usual, hello, how are you, who are you How've you been all year stuff with folks. The evening faded into memory loss and that's probably for the best.
Saturday
Was unsurprisingly hungover there was pasta for breakfast and a resolution not be as wasted as the night before due to memory loss. Preaparation ensued and we arrived at inFest, we saw people including JonTheGoth who I hadn't seen since Inquo sometime last year and we had a good natter, Faderhead were playing at this point, but we were upstairs. Well done to kitten for being more goth than the goths by wearing an entirely black body suit, apparently she had to dislocate her thumb so her wristband would be on the outside of it!
There was shopping, including selling out and buying a pair of New Rocks, which as New Rocks go are fairly inoffensive, so that's ok. tried to watch Caustic but mostly chatted to Mr C. Went to watch Apop, thoroughly enjoyed them, was on the dance floor with a random munter called Andy, we bounced our way along having fun, it was good. I hadn't seen that many people on the main dancefloor at infest before. At around this period I began to become aware of the stench of infest, damn the smoking ban!
As an aside: The fucking smoking ban! I don't mind not being able to smoke since I quit but jesus! The masking scent of tobacco smoke has been pulled aside and we are hit with the combined scents and dubious aromas of those around us. yum. I'd rather wash my clothes than have to smell everyone else's body odour. The only solution I've found is to use roll on perfume on the top lip, so that it's smell overpowers the reek of sweat and vomit.
Back to Saturday
I then proceeded to try and get drunk, and failed, despite quite a quantity of vodka being consumed.
Sunday
Got up, no hangover due to not being drunk got ready went to infest, en route stopped at the Kebabish takeaway at the top of the hill where a very very pleasant meal was eaten including Pekora, which is like the first even vaguely curried type food that I've liked so that was good. I still don't like naan bread though. We went down to the festival and started enjoying ourselves began to realise just how much money I'd spent over the weekend but began to take stock of what I'd gotten for my cash, and it wasn't only drunk so that was ok. There was a band, Rupesh Cartel I think that I thought were a bit pants, they were ok, then very very samey and it beame clear that the singer was out of tune... it was rather dull so I went somewhere else. I apologise to Timsinister for offending him with my T-shirt, it shook his goth sensibilities to the core. there were conversations with people with topics including The Archers, beer, men in skirts, men's underpants (I've had conversations like that at infest before...hrmmm...), why so many NOISE fans are utter wankers and a really good conversation with doctor_tron who really helped me make sense of things. drinking ensued Pain bastard played and while I didn't watch them watch them I got good vibes off them. There was stuff and things and shopping and CD's and beer. There was also random bitchyness, but that was just funny. VNV Nation were really entertaining both musically and with the stand-up comedy I got a sense that if the crowd weren't all goths that if they hadn't played an encore there might have been riots. Then there was more drinking and confusion.
right I'm sure there was a lot more than that but it'll do since I a) can't be bothered typing anything else and b)probably bored the pants off you at infest anyway so you don't want to be bored again.
Sigining off.
