Update on me!
Hello! Long time, no see. Just a quick update on us. We've got a flat in London about 15 minutes walk from All England Tennis Club aka Wimbledon; I'm temping though with a permanent job in the offing which should start - fingers crossed - within the next month; Ben has been working for Customs and Revenue though has just got a much better job with Treasury (also very good for us financially) and is working towards qualifying to be a UK solicitor. We have our "second" wedding on 21st June, so I get to wear my gorgeous dress again and marry a gorgeous man for the second time! :-) We miss New Zealand heaps but so moved over at the perfect time re the exchange rates. We're hoping to buy a house within the next couple of years so are cheering on the UK property slump. It will be great for us to go back to NZ with that sort of financial security, whether we choose to sell, or to rent it out. Living in London is fab, though we do miss all our friends in New Zealand - we haven't had anyone over to dinner yet! Scott and Kate are lined up for 5th July (Ben worked with Scott in Wellington) and Kat and Tom are booked in for 19th. Doug and Natalie are also going to come up from Cardiff and stay, and we're all making plans to go and see A Midsummer Night's Dream at The Globe. Kat was saying last weekend (we all met up for a picnic in Regent's Park) that a lot of their friends were international so have either already left or are going to, so hopefully we will see lots of them. We met up with last night in Kensington to see Indiana Jones (a disappointment...). Ben's currently planning our Greek honeymoon and we're also making plans to go to Venice for our first anniversary in February.
