Revelations
Today's chapter was very long indeed (5,000+ words!) so I am glad I started work on it so early ;)
I've realised in writing this section that I need to go back and flesh out a part of the story that sort of crept up on me. I always knew I wanted something like it in the story but when it came it came all of a sudden and I wasn't able to realise the full potential of the story arc. It's okay, I can easily go back and add more to it. I'm actually really happy that I've realised it because it gets to the nub of the story for the character and explains his reactions to later events.
I feel as though I'm far off from completing the novel now. I know I said last week that I was confident on getting it finished but this week it just seems like a mountain of work and so short a time to get it finished in. I don't have an official end date yet because I'm waiting on some news but the estimated time is about six weeks. I should get the novel finished by then but I worry about it. I do have about five more sections to complete, with two chapters left in this current section. Phew, this book is so much bigger than I ever expected it to be when I started out ;)
