you are absolutely right about the pros and defence having to give each other their list of witnesses and the main points of law that they wish to bring up and facts that are admitted on both sides. they would no doubt both have copies of each of their witnesses statements.
I would imagine Lloyd wouldh ave been told who was testifying what as it is his trial so what other witnesses bring up will be the things he has to explain or deny.
However, technically speaking, it's the Crown against Lloyd as opposed to Ianto against Lloyd as it's a criminal offence Lloyd has been charged with so I don't know if Ianto would have been told everything about the defence as all he would need to know was what the defence planned to ask him. As the defence did not plan to question Ianto about Russell's testimony, he didn't need to know about it.
Clark knows what to do about Russell's testimony but as there's no 'proof' either way about what Russell said, the best he can really do is make the Jury doubt it, and pray that they remember that what Ianto did or did not do on the streets is completely irrelevant to what Lloyd did to him.
Thank you so much for leaving such a detailed comment - it shows you've read the story and have thought about it ;P
it's ridiculous how relived that comment makes me feel. i've been worrying that it was starting to drag too much and that readers were getting bored so thank you.
Is it telling that I actually dreamed about LLoyd being found not guilty and the consequences last night :P Although...it is starting to seem tempting...

I have a suspision that even if Lloyd was to be found 'not guilty' there is no way Jack and the team will let him get away with what he did.
Looking foward to the next chapter.
