A suggestion / change in policy

Feb 21, 2009 10:24

A suggestion has been made based on the experience of this past week's auctions that perhaps a period longer than 3 days would be suggested for the auctions.  This way it would give the sellers and members more time to promote the items being sold.

And honestly, I have to agree.  How would you all feel to changing the auction time limit to be at the discretion of the seller?  That way if there's something they want to quick sell, the 3 days at midnight policy would still ride, but if it's something they really want to push elsewhere, it could be moved to a week length or what have you?

I apologize to those sellers who have already posted items this week and had them close...but we had to learn through experience I guess.

Does this sound good to everyone?

Everyone with currently active auctions can feel free to change the auction length.  I'd still like to set it at midnight on whatever day (midnight in 7 days, midnight in 3 days, etc) because it's a good solid "cut-off point" for bidding, if it gets super hot on an item.

Thank you again EVERYONE who has posted an item, and everyone who has bid.  :)

And remember...for sales payments, the direct link to Tess' Paypal is on the user info page here.
