An Ode To LiveJournal
I wrote this up today, and I figured I might post it somewhere that it might be a bit more appreciated... I'm not even sure if this is the right place, either, but I had to put it somewhere x_x;;
Let's take a look into this creation
The latest in internet sensations
Where we all write about who we know best
And do our best to get to know the rest
It's an online journal to the casual view
But there's so much more that you can do
So don't just knock, take a step through the door
We'll find out how much it takes to be 'more'
Let's get things straight - you can do this for free
New to this? It's as easy as can be
You can update with both music and mood
Comment here and there (just don't be rude)
Make a few friends, hell, start a collection
Add some crap to your interests section
Mess with the colours, put up a bio
Talk with people from Rio to Cairo
Then hook yourself up with RSS feeds
To satisfy your many surfing needs
From Calvin & Hobbes to Penny Arcade
No matter what you want, they've got it made
But that's just cake without the icing
The kind of icing that's quite enticing
So send in a sum, just a small amount
Get your hands on a brand new paid account
The user pic lovers light up with glee
Fifteen avatars to the free one's three
If that's not enough to keep you alive
Go get yourself another thirty-five!
The more artistic stylists of us lot
Can now show us exactly what they've got
By enabling themselves to customise
While the simple stay simple if they're wise
You've got your polls, you've got custom mood themes
You can stalk your friends' friends now, too, it seems
A sparkly LiveJournal email address
Check your region if you're in the U.S.
And as you drive those trained monkey insane
Get used to using typing out your subdomain
Post via your email or telephone
Smile at the sound of an SMS tone

Quite possibly a bit more server speed
It's got so many features that soon you'll see
It's your online junky's neccessity!
As the saying goes "But wait - there's more!"
