Oh hello o/
I haven't posted here yet and thought I should get around to it. I'm a full-time Illustration student but I'll do anything that keeps my hands busy, which is a little difficult given my rebellious joints, but I work through it. I learned about knitting something like six years ago through a
fan submission on a webcomic I used to read, apparently had to buy a TON of yarn, then promptly forgot about it. For Christmas I got Creepy Cute Crochet and Amigurumi World, let them sit around, and finally figured I should use them, so about a month ago I taught myself how to crochet and have been hooked (pardon the pun) since!
Technically this was my first ever ami-anything, but it isn't much to write home about. :p
Followed the ninja pattern from Creepy Cute Crochet...
Followed by an unintentionally chubby Cthulhu!
I have a thing for Cephalopods and the color orange, so I had to make an orange octopus following Lion Brand's
pattern. My first original pattern, though it's the same main character from the aforementioned webcomic. I didn't realize he would be this tiny!
Yep, I am a total Katamari Damacy addict. The second I saw
the magnetic katamari pattern I knew I had to make one, even though it meant waiting all weekend for magnets to ship to my house. My hands also disagreed with this the whole time I was finishing each little nub, and now that it's done all of my friends want one of their own.
Nowadays I get ideas piling up, but I have so much junk yarn to work through and it's all ugly colors or ones I can't imagine using for anything. How am I supposed to work through a pound of Evening Jewels acrylic Caron yarn? D:
