weloveamigurumi group photo pool!
New weloveamigurumi flickr photo group/pool! :o)
I don't know about you guys, but I get frustrated trying to find a cool ami that I saw a month ago, or six months ago, or two years ago, in weloveamigurmi. It's hard to skim through the pages and find the photo you're looking for, and some folks don't put a photo on the front page, so you won't see them if you're scanning through. These creations are all such gems, and I want to be able to browse them for fun and inspiration, and see not only the latest ones posted, but ALL of them! :o)
So to make that an easier task in the future, I've just set up a weloveamigurumi pool on www.flickr.com to make it easier for us to browse through all of the wonderful creations that have been posted here. We can post all of our amigurumi there and browse to our heart's delight!
Please be sure to join the flickr group "weloveamigurumi" http://www.flickr.com/groups/weloveamigurumi/ (you'll have to be a flickr member) and post your photos of any items that have been posted here in weloveamigurumi! :o) You can post as many photos as you like! :o) The photos themselves do not have to have been posted here in LJ, just the item IN the photo, so if you'd like to share more views than you put into your post, this is the place! :o)
Although we love seeing all amigurumi, we are restricting this pool to only those items that have already been posted here in the LJ group, because the pool's purpose is to make it easier for us to see and find the cuties that have been posted here in the past. If you want to post an item that you haven't posted here yet, just post it here first, and then you can post it to the flickr group. :o)
I know that some of you don't use flickr as your photo storage facility, so I've set up a flickr account where we can place photos that you'd like to put into the pool, even if you don't have an account there. We can have up to 200 photos in a free account.
At the moment, I stuck one of my ami's in as the group icon, but that's just a placeholder. I thought it'd be fun if we chose some candidates and then voted on the ones we think show what we're all about. So start thinking of some good candidates! Yes, you can nominate your own creations! :o)

I'm screening the photo adds at the moment, and it's moderated joining, as well, so please be patient if I don't get something approved immediately. It just means I haven't seen it yet. :o) If I don't notice a photo fast enough and you are getting anxious, send me a pm here or on flickr and I'll see it faster than on the flickr group (they send no notifications of photos, though there are notifications of membership requests).
Also, when I okay a membership request, it doesn't give me an option to write back, so please assume that I'm saying "WELCOME! and thanks for joining!" :o)
