Twilight Amigurumi

Dec 09, 2009 08:33

So here is my newest amigurumi project... a wolf plush for a Twilight-vampire-themed book of knitted projects, soon to be published by Potter Craft, a division of Random House. I think he ended up looking a lot more submissive than I wanted him to - I am going to be making a second wolf, so I already know I'm going to work on the ears a bit and ( Read more... )

This guy is just adorable! :o) You might try moving the ears higher up on his head and a bit further forward, as well as making them a bit smaller. :o) Also, I think I would position his legs straighter, if you want him to look fiercer. But he's beautiful! I love the shaping you've done on his muzzle! And his eyes are PERFECT ( ... )

Okay the fuzzy stuff is AWESOME. Thanks! I really didn't want to use fun-fur on the guy since it's SO FUZZY. I will definitely check out those links!

I wanted to make him look a little bit more 'gentle' but I agree that the ears should be smaller and more forward...

Thanks for the cheers on the muzzle! I honestly did it like, six times, so it makes me so relieved that the end result is good! <3 and the eyes! I was so worried without how it would work out!

You did the hard stuff really well! It's just a positioning issue with the front legs and ears, but the shaping of the muzzle is so good, and the haunches, too, and hind legs! :o) You are doing GREAT!

With the front legs, by positioning, I mean just straightening the position that they're standing in, not placing them differently on the body. You know, pulling them straighter? Sorry, can't think how to explain it ... manually manipulating them. Not crocheting them differently, or sewing them on differently. Is that as clear as mud? heh heh

theknittycat said everything I was planning on saying! Great minds think alike. ;)

To make him look less submissive I would second the stance. You want him to be standing tall and looking alert (ears forward).

He is really awesome. I also was going to suggest brushing him to make him fuzzy, so she really did beat me to everything I was going to say! :P

Thanks hon! Yeah, the editor at Random House said the same thing about the ears, so now I feel silly that EVERYONE has noticed this about the ears and I didn't. *sighs* Oh, well!

Yes, I have to find a way to brush him and make him all nice and fluffy! Suggestions?
