Hi there, folks! It's beeen awfully long since my last post here - so here's the remedy. I tried to keep this month's theme in mind, too, which is definately a first. I'm more of an impulse craftster...
WARNING: may cause damage to your teeth, eyes and brain.
The idea of a multi-sided amigurumi has been pestering me for quite a while now, and I finally had enough. Being overworked and awfully tired (plus nervous) didn't help much, either, so I had to get it out of my system. Much hilarity ensued as I progressed.
Sickeningly sweet - almost literally: a smile on tooth decay.
A wee bit skizophrenic, but cute, ain't it? That smile of his makes me think he has a proturding lower jaw, with ze fangz hanging out dangerously... I call him a tooth fairy, my bro sees a raddish in it. With malformed leaves. What do YOU see, do tell?
And here's the other side, which spawned the name Dingbat. Upside down my tooth fairy with an attitude problem looks like a cute little bat - which happens to live in a cave, too. Coincidentally, that cave is a mouth... Good thing I found a way to make both verisons happen, otherwise I would've hated to choose... ( I would've chosen the latter version, though, and my bro was all in for "albino vampire Totoro", too.)
Ok, that concludes our trip into the world of teeth. Next: the zoo!
Okay, you might ask what animal this is. I'm not gonna berate you for doing so. He's an experimental llama.
He gave me a few WTH moments, too, but mainly due to technical difficulties regarding his legs and neck. Oh, he's 95% one piece, but only because I forgot to add the ears, and didn't frog it back after realization hit at the front legs... But to master the technique it was quite enough.
Why post then? Just to counterweight the whiteness above.
