Hi, I'm Jade. I'm new here and new to crochet. I thought I'd share what I've done the past couple of weeks and say hi.
I just started teaching myself (with books and youtube) to crochet a bit over two months ago. Recently I found amigurumi and have been having a great time practicing on these cute little things.
GIR
My son wanted him to have a taco, so I made him a little taco.
GIR pattern is from
here. The colors are off and I got an extra row in there on his head, but I'm still happy enough.
Cleric and Spider Jerusalem
I've been using the
Creepy Cute Crochet book to learn with. The cleric is a pattern from the book with a couple of magnetix pieces for the mace.
Spider is based on the head and body patterns from that book with a bit of my own poorly-embroidered spin. I haven't embroidered in years, and it looks it.
Cthulhu
Also from Creepy Cute Crochet. I'm happy enough with how it turned out for my beginner self.
Beholders
These came from the pattern
here. One is now on my desk at work with Cthulhu and Spider. My son appropriated the other as his own.
Spider gets no love
Spider again
The spider on his head turned out well enough.
Family portrait
Shiny happy cleric.
