But I thought I would share my first attempts at Amigurumi...
So, yeah, nearly 20 years of crocheting experience and a year of dithering, checking out patterns, playing with yarn, procrastinating on one thing and another... I finally just sucked it up and did my first attempt at Amigurumi.
And apparently I am both too arrogant and too proud to use a pattern to start with....Noooooooo, I gotta make it up as I go...*shakes head* (Hey, when you've been designing your own tapestry crochet patterns for 10 years, you think you can do anything...*rolls eyes*)
So anyway...I was asked to make a favorite character from a beloved show for a friend's child....so I decided to mess with some scrap yarn first...and ended up with...
Suliueta, my Polynesian Princess...
I've since finished her skirt and added more hair...but she is still faceless...but I like her. :D
And so enough delaying and procrastination, I moved on to the friend's request...
Why don't you guess who it is...
I'm pretty sure his head is a bit smaller than it should be...but still, I am pleased with it. I've shipped it off and now anxiously await the recipient's reaction. :D
