First post: ami-along and some other projects
Hi fello amigurumers (?),
This is my first post, although I have asked a couple of questions. I was so excited to find a group that is so active in making amigurumi. I just started recently, but I am totally hooked! I made a bunny (Lion Brand's Best Bunny) for my daughter for her 3rd birthday about a month ago (see my user pic), and have made a few other things since then. I have been crocheting for years, and learned to knit about 2 yrs ago. I have made lots of stuff, so I have some idea of how to change patterns and make stuff up (although I am currently frogging an entire sweater that ended up about 3 sizes too big - don't ask!!!). My next project was to make Cheese from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends for my son. He isn't too bad for my first totally from scratch pattern, but he could be better. Then I made some valentine hearts for my family's valentines, and then last night I just finished my ami-along project. I decided to modify the Gabu pattern and made a One-eyed, One-horned, Flying, Purple People Eater. The leg sticking out of his mouth was my son's idea. I will try to post the pics under a cut, but I really have no idea what I am doing, so I hope it works!
