Turns out, indie nights in Lincoln are really fucking good. I mean. They don't compare to back home in Leeds. But they're a lot better than I thought they would be.

I even got a bit of de ja vu when I was dancing with Amy to Babyshambles. Actually, I'm getting de ja vu by just writing about getting de ja vu when dancing with Amy to Babyshambles. I also like how I can have a suitable ammount to drink, have a good dance with everyone, and get home for under a tenner. If only all you guys were down here...

Gareth and Emily have gone home for the weekend. Well. Actually. Gareth went home yesterday, and he's coming back tomorrow. And Emily is back on Monday. I actually miss them. And I really like how I get along with people enough to miss them. My fears of being hated are kind of fading away.

Who's house?!

Run's house!!

Who's house??!

Say what...?

Run's house!!

Today I had a lecture at 9 in the morning. Lethal. Especially since I didn't get out of Scream till 2 in the morning. That was a good night as well. More dancing the night away and having a drink. Scream is just like Dry Dock, but in a building, not in a boat. It's actually owned by the same people. So I can still get my fiver bottles of wine. They play more of a mainstream mix though. They'll play everything from Franz Ferdinand, to Greenday, to Chemical Brothers. I mean... it's not perfect. And they didn't even have 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun' by The Libertines... but it's tolerable. Po Na Na's is next on my list of clubs to go to though. Fat Poppadaddy's on a Monday night is ment to be one of the best nights in Lincoln.

Every club seems to like the Happy Mondays down here though. Don't know why.

Gareth: That chicken's made me have this (souther fried chicken flavoured) Pot Noodle.

Me: Does it taste of chicken?

Gareth: No. It tastes like noodles.

I made new friends today. Well. I've become actual friends with Jen and Jimi now, rather than just casual acquaintances. They're really cool. Jen loves The Libertines, Razorlight, The Killers, etc. So she always wants to dance. Which is good. And Jimi's a cool emo-but-not boy. He stands and complains with me when they play Stone Roses, and then sings with me when 'Hounds of Love' comes on.

Also got talking with this guy called Callum today. He's one of those kids who like Coheed and Cambria and Alexisonfire... you know. But he's pretty cool. He's in one of my seminar groups. And it started with us getting lost trying to find our room... and then we both end up going to Cell tonight for the indie night. He's pretty cool.

And I made friends with the coolest person since I've been here today. Richard. He likes Arcade Fire, The Postal Service, Morrissey, Britpop, and loves Blur. And he looks like the frontman of We Are Scientists. But younger. He's doing journalism as well, so I have someone to sit with in lectures. We just ended up talking after our last lecture of the day, and then ended up in the student union bar drinking for a couple of hours.

Oh, and I'm better friends with Hannah as well. Not the one I live with who likes knives. The one who does all the bookings for the student live bands night. She also co-runs a record store, does band photography, and writes freelance for a newspaper. So she's pretty much what I want to be in a few years. We were talking for a while earlier, and she said that she could help me get some work experience when I wanted it.

So things aren't as bad as I thought they would be. I mean... Lincoln's definitley a lot better than what I thought it was going to be. But I'm looking forward to coming home this weekend. I think I'm seeing The Subways at Lincoln Drill Hall tomorrow night, and then coming up home on Saturday morning. Then I'll see my family for a bit, and try work my way around some of you lot. Then on Sunday, Ali Whitton is playing at the Faversham. So can we all go see him please? I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again... but I'm not looking forward to not being out with you all on Friday night. Maybe we can do something on Saturday, people?

I fucking love you all. I can't wait to see you again. And if I don't see you as much as I'd like to, then I'm coming home the weekend after as well. Friday night, no less. So we can all go out to the Cockpit and have a good drink and a dance. Then it's Todd's birthday as well on the Saturday. So we can all catch up then as well. Bollocks... what am I getting her as a present?

Then I'm up for the Kaiser Chiefs on the 18th of October... and I'm thinking we should all go see Duels at the Cockpit on Sunday the 30th October. Fancy it? I also think I've won tickets for The Cribs at St. George's Hall on the 14th October... supported by Duels, iForward Russia!, and The Research... but I'm not sure yet. But that's a Friday... so if I am up for that, then I might as well stay for the weekend. So what does everyone think to a few drinks on the Saturday of that weekend?

You see people, there's no getting rid of me. I love you all too damn much. I really fucking do. I literally can't wait to see you all again.

Oh, and Emma. I think you should come down on a Wednesday sometime. I do bugger all on Wednesdays... and we can go to either the indie night at Scream, or the emo night at Po Na Na's, and dance the night away. I have a lecture on Thursday morning though at 9, so I'd have to be up pretty early and come back after it. Anyone else want to come down then as well?

Ok... better get to bed. I have a lecture at 9 in the morning again.

Love you all. A lot.

...I guess we'll just have to adjust...

I love Arcade Fire too.
