YOU. MAY. YOU. You turned what was a shitty night into a good one with your lovely comments and general awesome awesomeness. YOU.

I love the idea of Vanessa being a big sister and them being not much alike and their broken broken family.
I think (?) Ruby is in the books, but from the snipets (lesbian punk band, anyone?) she could be awesome for this show. And all the other character have effed up families, no reason Vanessa shouldn't, hee. That's my theory, lol.

Losing her sense of self, being made to feel she's the one with the problem and you encompassed it so well.I think, when we look at the 'Brooklyn' characters, we're faced with different ways of how they address that world. Jenny wants to become part of it, Dan loves Serena so much he'll deal with it. Vanessa hates it, for that reason that it can steal her soul. It's like 'Georgina' said - her dignity's no use here. Doesn't matter who she is, unless she's got money to her name. And Vanessa's not used to that. She's used to earning respect through actions, not her bank ( ... )

i actually like your vanessa.
which is surprising since the character gets on my nerves.

well, i always thought she had so much potential as a character! especially first season, but she became exactly like all the other girls. (the thing with the letter, blackmailing Blair, not trusting Blair with the Archibald case) its just so FRUSTRATING. because Jessica is so gorgeous haha.

I ship n/j, but i totally understand n/v (at least how it was season 1!!)

The lack of NV on the show was seriously taking its toll on me and you fic was just what I needed! I loved it so much!
