I am the Sky

It's been a bit! Summer started but that doesn't mean complete lazy time for me because I have classes. One day I'll get a true summer, haha.

Anyways, I ended up at Phoenix Comic Con by surprise a couple weeks ago. One of my classmates was super sweet and offered to drive us both up there and back so we hung out there all Saturday.

I hadn't been to PCC since 2009 and it has grown sooooo much. Honestly, I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of people and probably couldn't handle being there for more than one day. On the other hand, it was quite nice to just chill and see panels and browse the exhibitor's hall and see the costumes at a leisurely pace. I feel like I'm usually flipping out at cons or attempting to sidestep someone's dramatics. There was none of that, thankfully. I decided to be brave too! I talked to some artists from EA and another from Wizards of the Coast. They were both beyond nice and I was quite pleased that I didn't even stumble over my words! HOHO >:D I saw some other cool peeps includinnggg:

This guy! The children (me included) were pretty much just flocking to him LOL;; He told me that his grandkids kept telling him how much he looked like the character so he tried it out. Pretty successful~!

This is lego tank kid. He was so excited, it was really cute.

It was strapped on kinda like a backpack and he would crouch down to transform.

I didn't take too many photos because I was too busy picking my jaw up constantly. We saw some Dragon Age cosplayers and.. I juuuussstt might be tackling a costume in October for Saboten. WE SHALL SEE. I really do miss making costumes.

Apologies if I've posted any of these before:

Gunslinger character, Tsule! I still don't know about his hair color, it's always changing. x___x

Warrior lady~!

I've been kind of messing about with Photoshop. I'm still not sure how I feel about it.. Something seems like it's missing? I dunno, maybe I'm too hung up on Painterclass but it can't handle huge files, unfortunately.

Elm and Monarch!

Fisher!

That's that. Take care!

playtime, art, yay, life
