There had been a great deal of debate regarding whether Sherlock is on the autistic spectrum.
I decided to ask the professional opinions of three psychiatrists specializing in autistic spectrum disorders, who also happen to be Sherlock fans, on whether Sherlock has autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

Even if someone did reach a different conclusion than you have, I cannot imagine that they would be nasty about it. Have you really gotten hate mail?

Also, where did you get the fabulous picture of Sherlock and the chemical symbols from at the top of the meta? It's beautiful!

thanks for correcting my mistakes! It's a bit embarrassing when the title doesn't read properly!
The nice picture comes from fanpop. I basically typed in Sherlock wallpaper into google.

I loved your speculation on Moriarty's character. I admit I prefer him to the original version, sorry! He's just much more entertaining, lol.
However, I quite appreciate THIS article. It's always good to get clarification and I appreciate that you went to other psychiatrists to ask about that. I feel kind of privileged to hear from actual psychiatrists - although again, I wouldn't use this as a diagnostic tool simply because, from my lay person's perspective, I would expect to be in your office or in a medical setting for that to happen.
So keep writing! I'm quite enjoying these.

Sherlock the character really is a mish-mash of all the things the writers wanted plus canon Holmes wrapped up in an interesting package. He's behaviour is just so inconsistent there's little point in using him as an example of anything.
