Before you slip into unconsciousness...

I'd like to have the couple bike accidents erased from my day, please!

So, there's a beer store here in Seattle called Bottleworks. Recently, the owner of Bottleworks opened a little restaurant (tavern, basically, although they called it a Cafe for some reason.) Both Bottleworks and the restaurant were hiring. So, I bike on down to Bottleworks to drop off a resume, only to find out that my best bet would be to head on down to Brouwer's (the restaurant) and talk to the owner there. So, ok... I pick out a beer to bring home, hop on my bike, and start heading down to the restaurant. On the way there, I lost control of the bike (mountain bike, wet roads) and went flying off. I landed with a rather heavy thud, smashing both knees and both hands into the ground, as well as my face into a bit of brush at the base of a tree. Fortunately, I didn't go flying any harder than I did, or I'd be missing an eye due to the sticks that were poking out from the base of the tree as well.

Ok, so I'm already bashed and sore, but I'm halfway to the restaurant and I need a job. Ok. So, I get to the restaurant and decide to grab a bite to eat while I'm there (sadly, they have a great selection of brews on tap, but the food doesn't seem to be all that hot.) I have a couple beers while I'm at it, and enjoy a nice long conversation with an older couple. Cool, great.

Now comes the fun part. I'm on my way home and decide that, since it's Friday and the Subway closest to me has a deal where you can get a sub for $2.99 on Tuesdays and Fridays (certain subs only!) I'll stop, grab a couple subs and save them for tomorrow. Well, on my way into the parking lot (yes, I bike all over the place, especially when my legs are getting stiff from a previous spill) my front bike tire got caught on something, and I went spilling over the front of the bike AGAIN! Apparently today was NOT my day to be out riding bike. What annoys me the most is that school starts for me on Monday...and I have a feeling that my legs will NOT be school ready by then. *grunts*

However, I'm going to crawl into bed and die now. Hopefully my legs won't be TOO stiff when I wake up.

It's times like these that I miss being in a relationship... I could call up my girlfriend (if there were one) and have her come over and take care of me. :D And no, you bunch of sickos, I don't mean like that (although, I wouldn't complain...but, she'd be on top!) Because, I tell you what... Trying to walk to the fridge for water and having your knees nearly give out on you with each step is NOT fun.
