I'm getting out of the PATH station at 33rd St this morning, the exit that's basically inside the Manhattan Mall.
There are two guys in custodial uniforms, one on a ladder, with a plastic "caution" placard, opening the door nearest the stairs, obviously working on it.
Some guy comes up the stairs and makes for the other side of the double-doors that they're obviously working on, practically walking through the ladder one of them is standing on. They tell him "this door's closed, please use another door," but he says "No! I want to use this one!" Argument ensues; by the time I'm leaving earshot he's still standing there saying "C'mon, PLEASE let me through this door!"
This episode of New York Minute brought by the shoulder pains that come from wearing a heavyish messenger bag every day... sigh. I need to remember to switch shoulders occasionally.
