So, we've got our hotel booked and some general plans of what we want to do. We've got the express pass for the Empire State Building and plans to see some of the other major sites. We're also hoping that Broadway will be back online by the time we get there, but aren't holding our breath.
Now the need is to find reasonable restaurants somewhat near some of the major sites for lunches and dinners. We're staying here: WooGo Central Park - Tempo Apartments - 240 West 73rd Street, New York, NY 10023. (the change from staying at the Wellington is a savings of $2,000!) We're also having a tough time figuring out which tourist package would be the best deal. For example, some get you out to Ellis Island, but not inside the Statue of Liberty. There are the Circle Line tours, the Hop-on-Hop-Off deals etc, but we're not sure which is the best one.
Any locals or others who've spent some time there, any insight? The trip is December 15-22nd and we'd like to get a better grasp on the details of each day.
Thanks!
Edited to Add: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero, St Patrick's Cathedral, Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, NY Main Public Library, Museum of Modern Art, Madison Avenue, Carnegie Hall.
Edited to change hotel.
