77. Perfect Nightmare - John Saul - 339 pages. A picturebook family living in the perfect house they designed together, comes to the realization that to make their finances work, they have to sell the family home and move to NYC where the father/husband works. The daughter is just about ready to start her senior year and doesn't want to leave her friends and cheerleading team and all that she's ever known.

After a fight about not wanting to leave her hometown ... the daughter disappears. Her mother begins a frantic search to find her. As the story progresses there are many twists and turns and secrets exposed. I certainly didn't see the denouement coming, and was very surprised. A good choice for fans of John Saul or thrillers in general.
