2007 Book Challenge

53. Red Dragon - Thomas Harris - 454 pages. The movie was almost totally true to the book. Oddly enough, my DirecTV, TiVO machine must have sensed that I was reading this novel, because over the weekend it taped the movie for me. If you liked the movie version, you ought to check out the movie "Manhunter" from 1986. It's the first adaptation of Red Dragon for the big screen, and many consider it to be superior to the recent version. It's interesting to see how two different actors portray Lector.

Oh agreed... I think I've seen most of Manhunter, and it has a soft spot for me in that "Gil Grisson" - William Peterson of CSI, plays Will Graham, and Brian Cox plays Doctor Lector. I think I'll have to add it to my TiVo Queue soon to see it with the book and other movie fresh in my mind.
