14. Powers of Detection: Stories of Mystery & Fantasy - Edited by Dana Stabenow - 224 pages. This collection includes stories by Donna Andrews, Michael Armstrong, Anne Bishop, Jay Caselberg, Mike Doogan, Laura Anne Gilman, Simon R. Green, Charlaine Harris, Anne Perry, Sharon Shinn, Dana Stabenow and John Straley. Each of these stories includes a mystery and all but one of them are set in worlds of fantasy and magic. One story takes place on a spaceship and is of a sci-fi bent. All are entertaining and on several I found myself wanting more in those worlds, and hope to track down those authors who did write in one of their existing universes. A really nice collection.
