Evening at The Kennedy School
Had a lovely night out with a bunch of the local CFers. I was the first one there followed by: tudorlady, clearbell, vantucky_cajun. Shortly after that, crankycatlady arrived with gutterboylive and the guests of honor, nokidsdammit and her hubby beady_el. Rounding out the evening were johnnyangel1, gorthx and Mr. Cato. A good time was had by all. Once again the layout wasn't ideal as we pretty much couldn't hear the folks on the other end of the table, but there was a bit of mingling here and there. I had three glasses of the Black Rabbit Red, some tator tots, and the Distiller's salad which consisted of mixed greens, whiskey marinated chicken, spiced walnuts, cranberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and a vinaigrette. It was delicious! crankycatlady brought some leftover candy from one of her customers and it was gleefully shared around.
Our waiter was really superb, considering the group, our physical layout, and the multiple tickets and arrival times of the group. I think he really went above and beyond considering he knew we were a CF group, and I had overheard him tell another patron that he's a new father (only 7 weeks ago).
I timed it perfectly to catch my bus and connections home and made it back here around 9:51 PM. All in all a lovely evening, and I plan on having lunch with nokidsdammit and beady_el tomorrow.
