Turned out that the landscape contractor rescheduled yet again, but since he's cancelled twice, and is an old business contact of my SO, he's going to do it for free on Monday, and give us free barkdust! Guess it's worth waiting a couple more days for a weed-free yard with all those perks!
Dropped by the library to pick up a couple of books that came in on hold, and a few other things, since I was down to only two books left to read in the house.
Got a pizza for lunch/dinner for ease and chowed while watching "The Manchurian Candidate" and "Die Hard: With a Vengeance".
After that it was time to get ready to head out for the concert. I went to see The Portland Gay Men's Chorus perform Razzle Dazzle. It was a combination of singing, dancing and more to a variety of show tunes from shows like Kiss of the Spider Woman, Chicago, Cabaret and more. Got to briefly catch up with my old friend Dale (who is the outgoing president of the chorus) who was the MC for the evening. I also got to briefly finally meet
boy_asunder and compliment him on his stellar performance singing "Sara Lee".
All in all a great day, if only Tri-Met kept the #71 running longer, I wouldn't have had to walk the last piece home. I almost didn't make it to the show on time either due to Tri-Met, so that was a close thing too. Got there when they were making final call for seating, and actually was seated in the dark. Oh, and I had to get an usher to move someone who was in my seat too!
They announced the 2007 Season performances, and I'm definitely going to hit "Piano Men," and possibly a couple of others.
