Christmas Eve Update
I've got most everything ready to go, and am just washing the last of the new dishes so that people won't have to eat off of dust etcetera. I've got all the linens ready, all the food I was supposed to purchase ready, and all my gifts wrapped.
Two things, I'm waiting for my parents to show up. My brother and his GF spent the night at their place on the coast, and were still in bed at 8:15 AM, so hopefully they got up and out and on the road to her parents place soon thereafter. My folks still need to take their dogs to the kennel, and plan on stopping at my other brother's house in Philomath/Corvallis on their way up. Their prediction is arrival at my place NO LATER than between 3 and 4 PM. (The caps emphasis was theirs...and they have a history of being as much as two hours late.. so we shall see.)
Secondly, all the presents that my mom ordered from Norm Thompson, and 100% of Aaron's gifts for everyone haven't shown up yet. There is still a chance they will all be delivered with the mail today, but I'm not holding out too much hope. So anyone who is reading and has spare karma or vibes or just good thoughts to send out to Portland to the USPS, to get them here today would be a beautiful thing.
