After seeing a sneak preview of the new Chronicles of Narnia Movie last Wednesday, I decided to read all seven books again to refresh my memory of the entire story.

86. The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe: Book 1 in the Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis - 186 pages. Just as wonderful as the first time I read it. I did notice some minor liberties ( Read more... )

Oh, I wonder if I still have these stashed in my attic. _The Magician's Nephew_ was always my favorite.

My sister & I are going to go see the movie over XMess break. I'm going prepared to get completely choked up & teary.

Oh yeah, bring the tissues... I definitely had tears rolling down my cheeks more than once. Also be prepared for the length.. it is 2 hours and 20 minutes long. I'm sure you'll love it!

I need to reread these, too. I was partial to The Voyage of the Dawn Treader when I read them as a young 'un.

Incidentally, that is amazing how many books you've read this year. How do you find the time? I probably won't make my 50 book challenge again this year, although I'll finish in the upper 40s.

Well, I have a long commute on the bus, and I just love reading. I still also read most of the daily newspapers, two or three weekly newspapers, and tons of magazines too. I started reading when I was 3, and haven't stopped.

I also watch a huge amount of TV which has only increased do to the acquisition of TiVo, even though I often have tons of political meetings on a weekly basis too. Aside from political stuff, and free sneak previews to movies, I don't really do too much else socially, so there is plenty of time there too.
