Lots of stuff going on, and not enough time to do it all...
Quick update on what I'm up to. Tonight I have a political meeting, that I had completely forgotten about. I'd rather be using the free passes I got to go see Chicken Little in 3-D tonight, but since the showing is in Tigard and we wouldn't be able to stay to the end of the show due to transit issues...*sigh*
Last night I took the bait for the special "you've got to be invited/nominated" political conference coming up in January. It's going to be held up at the Resort at The Mountain, and to get the early bird and membership discount, I agreed to donate $5 a month to the cause. Now I have to figure out if A can go, if he can get a scholarship to go, and what the rooming situation will be. I am not sure if my friend J, my usual roomie at these events will be going to this one, and if A can't go, then that raises a whole bunch of questions on housing. Plus I need to get the reservations in soon in order to get the cheapest room rates.
Tomorrow night I'm going to a fundraising/activism dinner at the Melody Ballroom. I had an item that I could have donated to the Silent Auction, but didn't think about it soon enough, and with my transportation issues it would have been hard to organize getting it to the committee members. Should be a fun event, as there will be tabling by all sorts of progressive groups. I only hope we sold enough tickets and will make a profit off the evening.
Saturday, I have to make it to the library to turn in a book that will be due that day, and pick up a book on hold that will expire that day. Then I need to get to the store and buy some dessert-type items for the HOA Meeting that will be held at my house Saturday night. I also need to sweep through the house like a woman on fire in order to get it picked up and ready for the HOA members to see it.
Sunday I will rest!
