ROGER PETE ROGER PETE OH MY GOD SO MUCH LOVE

This article on billboard.com is making me scream and run around in circles.

Favorite quote:
"One of the reasons I'm doing this (touring) is so if he ever does write anything significant or anything he needs me to sing, I've got a voice to do it. I've dedicated my life to being the voice of his music. I'm happy with that position. I feel I've done a good job for him." - Roger Daltrey

Can you feel the love?!?!?! D'AWWWWWWWWWW!

Also, on the May 15th, 2010, Happy Birthday Pete/Celebration of the Who episode of Little Steven's Underground Garage (which I highly recommend, and you can listen to under "Archived Shows" on the website, although you have to become a member--but it's so worth it), they (somebody...Little Steven? Does he seriously know everybody? Dayumm) got Roger to record a birthday message for Pete. And it was just the most friggin adorable thing ever. YES. LISTEN TO THE SHOW. xD I tuned it after it started and so I came in right in the middle of Little Steven's monologue/introduction thing, and he was telling a story about how a certain band was formed...and I didn't know who it was at first but I figured it out and shouted "THE WHO!" and then Little Steven said, "....The Who." And then "My Generation" came walloping through the radio speakers. And I freaked out and started dancing and singing like a huge dork. I know, I know, fascinating. xD

I LOVE how they are still super BFFs after all these years and still very dedicated to their music and their fans, unlike certain other rock legends...the most prominent example that comes to my mind is (sorry LZ fans, I'm an LZ fan too, don't be angry) Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, who apparently just ignore each other for the most part. Jimmy isn't even making music anymore! What is he doing?! Besides giving interviews to Guitar Player magazine and shit? Lol... At least Robert is doing something, you know, the country thing, that's cool and all. But I believe the winner is JOHN PAUL of Them Crooked Vultures for still rocking out and kicking ass after all these years (despite being the wallflower of his original band and getting not very much glory), hanging out with dudes who are decades younger than him (Josh Homme and Dave Grohl, also ballers) and being able to rock the tight t-shirts despite being in his sixties. He is still making cool music and not caring about beefs or the legacy of Led Zeppelin hanging over him or anything. Seriously, you go, John Paul. <3 You deserve MAYJAH PROPS.

(That was a history joke. I am the kind of person who laughs at her own jokes. Yeahhh)
