i'm in beautiful san diego right now. man is it gorgeous. we got in saturday at 8 am san diego time, and proceded to check in to our amazing hotel. the hotel del coronado on coronado island. this was the hotel used in marilyn monroe's 'some like it hot,' also starring tony curtis and the late jack lemmon. it is really eerie seeing how it has changed, and then in some of the shots, you cna see my room! i love it. we spent the rest of the day in old town san diego, where the town first started, and i had the absolute best mexican food that has ever existed.
cal-mex=wonderful
tex-mex=shit
we went to old town mexican cafe and had their state-wide famed carnitas, and because they were so good, i will never eat carnitas from another place again. cal mex does not smother everything in a red sauce and does not ground their meat for tacos. you have to ASK for ground meat, and if you do, they look at you as if you are from another planet. (i did not ask for ground beef, my parents told me about it. they used to live here.)
the next day we went to balboa park and wandered around, and also went to the zoo. their zoo is by far the best zoo i have ever seen. balboa park is absolutely gorgeous. the buildings are this beutiful mexican mission style, stucco and tiled roofings. it is so beutiful out here, oh my gosh.
today i went to sea world (gag me) and swam with the dolphins. my dad had to pay 150 clams each for me and my brothers to get into a pool with them and get them to do some tricks, it was pretty fun, but 150 bucks was a little steep.
the first few days it was a little overcast, and for them, that was horrendous weather, however, it is much better than texas. today, however, the sun came out around noon, and it was a beautiful day
coronado island is so pretty, i want to live here.
tomorrow is disneyland, im pretty thrilled about that.
as much fun as im having here, i really miss all my friends. i dont want to come home, so i decided that all of you guys need to come to me. get moving, bitches.
i miss you so. oh, how i miss you.
