I'm not judging his character based on a bad year he spent with the White Sox... I didn't pay much attention to them until the end of the season last year, aside from keeping up with the standings. Like I said, I was a pretty casual fan until this year.

The whole reason I liked him was for his personality. He's incredibly entertaining and yes, he does do a lot for charity. I'm sure he's a very nice person.

Some of the things that he's said this year have very much rubbed me the wrong way, however, so I've just written him off. And it's not that lots of players out there don't talk too much (I can think of one or two on my own teams who would benefit very much from being gagged for the season) but I was never all that attached to them so I don't think about it.

I liked Swisher a lot, I don't anymore, and I'm sorry for my phrasing.

Admittedly, though I don't hate the Yankees the way the majority of my fellow fans do (I root for them twice a year, even if they are playing the Red Sox), I can't bring myself to take much pleasure in the harmony he's brought to the clubhouse...
