Now that the first round is over, I thought we might play the guessing game as to who will get through this stage...

Recap

Pool A.
Korea beat Chinese Taipei, lost to Japan and then beat China before replaying the Japanese and winning to take the pool. (3-1)
Japan beat China and Korea before losing to Korea in the rematch to take 2nd place in the pool. (2-1)

Pool B.
Cuba beat South Africa, Australia and Mexico to take the pool (3-0)
Mexico were hammered by Australia but bounced back to beat South Africa and Australia in the rematch, then lost to Cuba for 2nd place. (2-2)

Pool C.
Venezuela beat Italy before recieving a pounding from the US, only to come back and beat Italy again and to take the pool by beating Team USA. (3-1)
Team USA beat Canada and Venezuela before losing to the latter the second time around and taking second place in the pool. (2-1)

Pool D.
Puerto Rico beat Panama and Netherlands and beat the latter for a second time to take the pool. (3-0)
Netherlands caused a upset by beating the Domincan Republic twice but couldn't get the better of the Puerto Rican team in either tilt, taking second place in the pool. (2-2)

Round 2

Pool 1.
Game 1 - Japan vs. Cuba
Game 2 - Mexico vs. Korea

Pool 2.
Game 1 - Netherlands vs. Venezuela
Game 2 - USA vs. Puerto Rico

Game 3 - Losers of each tilt play = loser is eliminated.
Game 4 - Winners of each tilt play = winner advances.

Game 5 - Winner of Game 3 and Loser of Game 4 play = loser is eliminated
Game 6 - Decides pool winner. (Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5)
