Tara Pops the question

Willow and Tara
Summers' house
Tara pops the question. No ring yet though.

Willow: Several minutes after completing the spell with Giles, Willow stood up tiredly and excused herself to go up to her room and lie down. Her headache was returning. She made her way up the stairs slowly and flopped down onto the bed. That spell has managed to zap what bit of energy she had had when she got home.

Tara: Tara was slightly troubled with her decision making, and went to Willow, always feeling more secure in her decision making when near Willow. Plus, she had an idea she really wanted to share with her. Knocking lightly, she stood in the doorway, wearing a colourful dress of her usual fashoin as of late. "Willow?" She called softly at the door, not knowing if anyone was home or not. She suspected so, but she could always be wrong.

Willow: Hmmm? There was a small knock. When there seemed to be no reply from downstairs, Willow pulled at her alarm clock. She must have fallen asleep, but the nap seemed to have done her some good. The knock was repeated, followed by a voice. Tara. "Coming!" Willow said aloud, her voice cracking. She coughed to clear her throat and hurried down the stairs, swinging open the door when she reached the bottom. "Hey!"

Tara: She smiled as the door opened, and her Red haired angel appeared. "Hey Will. Asleep were you?" She could just tell. Willows hair was poofed up, and it looked sort of funny. "Have time for a chat?" She asked with a soft smile. She didn't know what to say. And of course Willow would have the time. Just as Tara would if it was Willow knocking on the door. "I wanted to ask you something..." She smiled slightly, Willow would know she was brewing some sort of cool-ish Idea.

Willow: "That obvious, huh?" Willow asked sheepishly, reaching up to touch her hair when she noticed Tara's glance. "And I always have time for you," she beamed, opening the door, catching Tara's hand and pulling her inside. "What's up?" she asked, leading the other girl into the living room. It seemed that Giles had left while she'd been sleeping.

Tara: She smiled softly and gripped Willow's hand, enjoying the touch. She dropped onto the couch, Willow next to her and putting her hand in her lap, holding onto it with both of her own. She didn't know quite how to say this, so She just came out with it quickly. "Will you marry me?" She asked in a certain quickness. "I don't have a ring yet...and we'd have to go to Canada for a weekend...but.." She was just babbling now, and stopped, looking at Willow, her cheeks a little flush.

Willow: Willow gaped. "I...I...Did you just say what I thought you said?" For some reason, Willow never thought that Tara would be the one proposing to her and suggesting that they run off to get married. She bit her lip, feeling it quiver slightly. The moment felt surreal. She was still reminding herself that Tara was back and now...it was all so fast, but also wonderful. "...I did hear you right, right?" she asked, doubting her own hearing.

Tara: She blinked softly and nodded slightly. "...M-Married...I mean, if you don't want to...It's okay...I'll understand..." She frowned slightly, but really wanted to, and felt it was something they both wanted, could achieve. "I've always wanted to get married...you know...nothing huge...b-but...I want...want to.." She couldn't really finish. But she knew she always wanted to be with Willow. Forever and ever. She knew in her heart she wanted to. Why not make it official? Suddenly, she didn't even think of other troubles both were undoubtedly facing.

Willow: Willow opened her mouth to respond but was only able to manage a squeak and a nod of the head. She was grinning ear to ear, and suddenly the headaches, the weird stuff going on, the two years without Tara...it just didn't seem to matter. A small thought appeared on the outside of Willow's thoughts, but she shoved it away. "...what brought this on so suddenly?"

Tara: She blinked and shrugged slightly. "I was just....Just...thinking of you...and...I saw...s-saw this article in the paper...Where Canada allows same sex marriages...A-and..." She smiled slightly and pulled Willow closer and kissed her full on the lips, lovingly, passionately. "I love you...So much...Why not go that extra step...?" No stuttering that time. Of this, Tara was sure. She wanted Willow. To be hers. Officially. By law. 'till death...again...do they part. And maybe not even that would keep them apart.

Willow: "Mmmm..." Willow smiled against the kiss before returning it in kind. "That's an acceptable answer." She kissed Tara lightly, wrapping her arms around the other woman's waist. She tipped her head downward slightly, touching her forehead to Tara's. "...so when do you want to go?"

Tara: She smiled at Willow, her eyes on hers. "I was thinking we could figure that part out together." She smiled softly. No matter where they went, it'd be the time of her life, and most likely Willow's. "I hear The Rocky's are nice...even Niagra falls." She smiled softly. She'd probably take that Watcher's job. But it irked her that she couldn't tell anyone. Especially Willow. She wanted to just get away...from everything. With Willow at her side right about now. Especially after that run in with Sebastian.

Willow: "Well, there's that big party thing this weekend at Welcome...but how about next weekend...or the weekend after that...or the one after that...?" She laughed at her own excitement. Willow kissed Tara lightly where her forehead had been just a moment before. "...and I'm kinda liking the Niagra Falls thing myself." Pulling back slightly, Willow could almost feel that something else was on Tara's mind as well. She just watched her quietly for a moment, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

Tara: She smiled softly, always feeling comforted in Willow's arms. "You've always given me strength to make wise choices...you know that...?" She moved a little closer and leaned up against Willow. "...I might not be working at Lorne's much longer though....But what I have in mind...I'm sure you won't have a problem with...I'll Probably have to move back in here..." And that was as much as she could say, even if she had just led on to probably more questions.

Willow: "Somehow, I don't really seeing you moving back being an issue," Willow reassured her. "...a new job? Really? Doing what?" she wrapped her arms around Tara a little tighter and leaned her head against Tara's.

Tara: She smiled softly. "I was asked not to tell anyone...So you'll just have to be patient and find out when everyone else does...Okay?" She asked, looking up at Willow. "It's not that I don't want to tell you...It's that I said I wouldn't tell anyone...so I can't." She didn't suspect that moving back would be any problem. She'd have been surprised if it had been.

Willow: Willow frowned slightly. "You're sure that this job's legit?" she asked. "It's not something super dangerous, right?”

Tara: She smiled. "No more dangerous than the normal Scoobie stuff." She didn't even know if that name still applied anymore. But she'd use it. She smiled softly. "Now no more questions...Okay?" She pouted softly. "I want to talk about better things. Like marriage, and things." She Kissed Willow softly. "I'll get you a ring...eventually. Or I'll conjure one up...or something. It'll be beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the wearer..." She gave a shy-ish smile.

Willow: A blush crept into Willow's cheeks at the compliment and she smiled her quirky Willow smile. "..okay, no more questions for now. I'm all for the happy talk," she replied, leaning forward and kissing Tara, her hands cupping the other's cheeks. "...and the ring doesn't matter, everyone'll be to busy admiring the wonderful woman that gave it to me anyway."
